Cookie Policy

Last updated:

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies SEO Sets uses, why, and how you can control them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit.

Cookies we use

SEO Sets uses essential cookies required for the service to work, plus Google Analytics on our public marketing pages — but only if you allow it in the cookie banner. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Cookie name Purpose Duration Type
seosets_session Maintains your login session Until browser closes Essential
XSRF-TOKEN Prevents cross-site request forgery (security) 2 hours / session Essential
remember_web_* Keeps you logged in across sessions when "Keep me signed in" is selected 30 days Essential
_ga / _ga_* Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics on public pages. Set only if you allow analytics in the cookie banner. Up to 2 years Analytics (optional)

Cookieless analytics

Our public pages also load Ahrefs Web Analytics, which counts page views so we can see which pages people actually find. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, and it does not build a profile of you across sites — so it is not covered by the cookie banner and there is nothing for you to accept or decline. If you would rather it did not run at all, a tracker-blocking extension or your browser's blocking mode will stop it, with no effect on the rest of the site. Ahrefs' privacy policy covers what it receives.

What we do not use

  • Google Analytics on your dashboard — the GA4 tag runs only on public marketing pages and the signup flow, only with your consent, and never on the authenticated pages where your SEO data lives.
  • Meta Pixel / advertising cookies — not used anywhere on the platform.
  • Third-party tracking cookies — no third-party script sets a cookie on our domain other than the optional Google Analytics cookies listed above.

Managing cookies

You can decline analytics at any time via the cookie banner ("opt out" or the Manage panel). Blocking essential cookies will prevent the Service from functioning (you won't be able to stay logged in). You can also control cookies through your browser settings:

Changes to this policy

If we introduce new cookies in the future, we will update this policy and notify you by email where required.
